Steering wheel "ears"

Would like to remove these in order to colour code, have some matching leather.

Having looked on the web, it appears that these will just pull off, without removing the airbag. Could anyone who might have removed these confirm this is so please?

I can confirm they do just pull off Ian. I had to do this to move them to my refurbed Royals steering wheel. Bit tight and easier with the airbag out of the way. Good luck

Much easier if you just undo the two Torx bolts to release the airbag, the tabs on the ears do go under the air bag by a few mm
