Assistance reqd. I need to replace the large feed pipe which runs along the front of the rack and gets all the sh** on it . Now having had a few strange conversations and a couple of wrong parts from my local BMW people. I now know that this is not a separate part, Well done BMW. Help, what is everybody else doing. Is there a pipe available from another rack or is it time to get one made. All knowledge great fully received

Have looked through
And found the part listed?
www.realoem.com
Hi Antm72 Have been on that site and one view says no parts available for my car and the other view doesn't show the correct pipe. BM dealer said it wasnt listed he showed me the schematic ( or whatever its called ) and its not in the picture.

Could you post some pics of the pipe you need?

I had a similar issue, I seem to recall it was on one of the schematics but not most of the ones google pulled up. In the end local garage created a rubber sleeve to go over the pipe and it seems to have worked. But will get it properly fixed soon, I think the part was on a 6 month delay and was around £117.

Which pipe are you talking about?

Is it the one that runs from the banjo fittings to the oil cooler? See rusty pipe in the photo. This one is readily available. Item 10 in link.

If its the small pipe that runs along the top of the rack, easier to get a new one made up.
Thats the one !! the big rusty one. sure its no 10 ?

That's the part number I purchased when I replaced the rusty one on my 2.0 L Z3 in the photo. Just checked the invoice to confirm it.

Yes, 2 of item 12 in the diagram and you'll need a hose clip for the oil cooler end (or 2 if you're a "to be sure to be sure" person).

Let me know if you get one, tried myself in 2015. For some reason no 10 is not readily available in this country, takes months to source and costs a fortune. I was intending to have one made up by a local hydraulics firm but haven't got around to it yet.
