Stalling?

Having an intermittent stalling issue. Mainly when in reverse, the revs just drop off and she stalls. Also very occasionally happens at a stop.aign or roundabout when coming to a halt. Did it once in a Costa drive thru when sitting in neutral she revved up and down on her own about 4 times and then died.

Any ideas or experience of this?

I do, nothing showing up apart from the Maf sensor which I recently replaced

Replaced it with a recommended one, something beginning with P. What's the OEM one brand?

Was it Pierburg? It could easily be the inlet cam position sensor failing. They don’t always set a fault code, mine didn’t but had those exact same symptoms.

BOSCH I believe mate. Others are renowned for being duff.

I doubt it, Pierburg is good quality name. It is the cheap Chinese copies which are suspect.

No I dont buy the crappy stuff. This was recommended as being good but maybe it's a duff one. I'll pop it in to my mechanic this week I think and check. Also maybe the cam sensors I seem to hear could cause this?
