we have had one or two wet days up here in the hills so I’ve moved along with an idea for a stairs for our sons cottage.i think I’ve underestimated how heavy it is lol.a little more head scratching before I knock the old one down

What size steels are using to hold it up !
Seriously I’m sure it will look fantastic when it’s in place and had some wood treatment to finish it off.
 
That's going to take a bulk delivery of Danish oil, for sure.
The trouble with oil on oak it darkens the colour I wouldn’t mind putting some white lye on it I’ve done it on pine flooring that we installed and it looks great might have to try a sample first
