Spot the difference

Finally got round to dropping the oil filter housing off today to change the seal behind it, so, can anyone guess which is the old dried-up piece of cr4p rubber and which is the new one? All I need now is a tiny man with a jet washer to get in there.

Obviously the new, kit form one is on the right? Similar to the Thermostat housing "O" ring seal off my Z4.

the new one is in the middle, the clear plastic bag , they put one of those black things in it to retain its shape, works ok on mine..

Damn, if only I'd realised that before I wasted money on a bit of rubber, got plenty of plastic bags kicking around.
