Spelling!

Well just turn it off....or spell things right in the first place :ymdevil:
Let's see if anyone can tell me what they think is the most common mistake made in the posts here on the forum with regard to the English language. In terms of frequency, it leaves all other mistakes in the dust. What are your replies.
PS. Correction. There is another mistake made with similar but less frequency. I am looking forward towards all of your replies. Frankie

I daren't write anything now just in case I get it wrong :p =))
But I don't care as long as people get the drift as to what I'm saying ;):)

1.4 Please do not criticise the spelling or grammar on others posts.

I don't care @Shelly, my grasp of the written English language is not the best. On the same page, as long as peeps get the gist.

That's good then Mr D :p
I'll not worry then :)

I really have trouble with spelling, dislexic ,haunted me through school.Still find it very hard simple words that I've seen and written before look wrong.Ive read a lot and even wrote articles for various magazines many years ago just to prove I could do it.But it's been a struggle every time I write.on another note our sheepdog has just had a puppy

Hi Frankie how are you ? Just joking about you lot in 'the colonies' ! So people over here called you 'mate' and you wondered about them? It's a good job that you didn't spend any time around my part of England, in the Derby and Nottingham area. Here traditionally everyone greets one another with the words, "Ey up mi duck". Doesn't matter whether it's men or women, so strangers can get quite alarmed if another man says "Art all rate duck?" (Are you all right duck?) Even Angelina Jolie has been heard to say "Ey up mi duck" at the Oscars ,I think , when talking about a film she made with an actor from Derby.

Not surprising with your language, how the hell is any one supposed to remember how to spell this?.....:baa

Funny comment, but really it's very simple it's just a series of words strung together, and every letter is pronounced as it sounds.its much easier to spell in Welsh than that bastardised language you call English;)

Tell you what @miller1098 the Dutch language is just as tough as Welsh.
Example...short name of a city over here Den Bosch, proper name, s-Hertogenbosch

Well spell checkers help but not the solution for us dyslexic peeps.

I may have posted this before - but I think its funny - so apologies.

When I was at College - one of my modules was law; any i wanted to type prosecution however it was correct as prostitution.

I lost an grade - but my response was well they both screw you for money!

This little thing .
I've been busy lately and couldn't get back on here. I was about to make this post when BadBoy Skyped me. I had forgotten to call him the other day and he was getting back to me. It was great to hear his voice and talk to him. I was laughing with him when I told him the first time I met him. It was on my first trip to the UK and I was at @Rev's house for a BBQ he had for several of the local members and myself. He told me Mark was coming over also and since my only exposure to him had been this forum, I wasn't very eager to meet such a nasty person. It was such a shock to meet him in person. I soon realized that all the banter I had read on the forum were a few well known members having fun with each other. Mark was the nicest, most gentle person you could hope to meet. We got along very well from the first moment we met.
Now to get back on topic. I had posted that there were two common mistakes made frequently on the forum with regards to English. When I mention them, I'm sure many of you will agree. In a way, they are both related. The first is the use of the words: they're, their and there.
