Had seen that a couple of members had been talking about cheap spark plugs from Halfords. I popped in today as I was near, and yes they are selling NGK BKR6EQUP plugs at £8 a pack. These plugs are discontinued so they are selling them off limited stock while it lasts. So as it was my birthday earlier this month, l brought the old girl a complete service kit as a treat. Picked up a couple of packs today reserved for collection. Paid, went to pick them up and checked the pack stacked under the top one was correct.

Check this out. Not just opened and resealed but used - secondhand! Check the deposits by zooming in!

Complained and he just said not their fault. They just take the money for whatever head office send them.

Probably didn't help he didn't seem to have a clue what a spark plug was.

I sometimes wonder where they get these people from. In the old days you had training on the products you where selling for the department you worked in. I worked in the first ever super store of Halfords back in the day, every body I worked with in that store had a passion for what they did, only wanting too please. Some great lads & lasses worked there. Sometimes they just get it right, people nowadays just can't be bothered.

It was literally 10 mins before anyone appeared to serve me. And by that I mean no assistants in the store at all. Deserted. I could have walked out with anything.

No apology for waiting. No apology for secondhand spark plugs...

I think that's the exception to the rule at Halfords. To be honest I'd never go into a Halfords branch and ask for advice. In fairness they may be a bit more switched on with cycles.

I'm going to see if my local branch has any in the morning, that's a bargain price. Thanks for the 'heads up'.

Never ask in Halfords anymore since I was left standing for 25min for the the part their computer said was in stock,
Just walked out and going past the paying counter the lad said, " so we couldn't help you with anything sir".Went home and ordered it off eBay. Not their fault if the manager can't be bothered to get off his arse and check what his staff are doing.. Euro or GSF parts for me if I need it in a hurry, trained staff.

It's a shame how things have deterred in large organisations, they will only realise when it's too late when they start losing there customers.
