So I was doing a bit of work on the Z yesterday lots of people stop and start conversations with me when the bonnets up.
I've lived here for 20+ years and this guy who lives up the road stopped and started talking to me he's lived here as long as me and other than a general polite hello nice day type pleasantries other than his name I know nothing about him turns out he's into LARPING (live action role play) fancy costumes elf ears the lot who'd have guessed so I was wondering what else people get up to when they're not lavishing attention on their Z's
Personally I'm either building stuff. stuff for cars,

That's a lot of things, anything edible or all plants? We do grow Tom's and different Chilli's also

Nothing edible, although you can apparently eat young hosta leaves. That's if the slugs leave any. The red banana plants are just ornamental.

I too met all my neighbours while working on the car @Andybpowell! Even just random passers by.

I love this idea of 'spare time'. What a great invention! Where can I get some? 😜

But seriously, bit like you I'm usually building stuff. Home automation, toy hacking etc. Do like to cook too, and put far more effort into lunches than is probably good for my waistline. Working from home is dangerous!

To burn that off, I try to get out running three times a week, and if I get a chance, get my rollerskates on.

I cook quit a lot also mainly because I'm intollerant to gluten, all dairy and have IBS just to top it off which takes half of the vegetables off the menu which is seriously restrictive so no takeaway's or processed food which gets tiring to be honest but it's meant that I have to experiment and substitute a lot I've got a book at home full of recipes I've made on the bright side I have a ridicously healthy diet :)

Blimey, I thought my culinary restrictions were tough! Not for me - I'm fortunate to be able to eat most things - but every night I'm cooking for three other people, of whom two are vegetarian, two are fussy children, and one is allergic to chilli. Does somewhat limit the repertoire but sounds like you have to be even more creative!

It is somewhat restrictive to say the least but I've been doing this for a long time and there are lots of things you can substitute for instance we're having curry tonight with lentils which are not great for people with IBS but what causes the problem for people with IBS is the Oligosacchardies that are in them and they are water soluble, which means that when the food is put into water, the oligosacchardies can leach out of the food and into the water so using tinned lentils and tipping the water away means I can add more lentils, also onion is off the menu due to the high fructan but if you use the green part of leaks it has the same onion smell and taste it has a much lower fructan levels you have to blend it because it's quite fiberous but it works so yes I have to be very creative but it's do able I just have to remind myself there are people with much bigger problems
:)
