We are very excited to anyone and everyone to the Western Region’s newest event. We have booked a stand at THE SOUTH GLOUCESTERSHIRE SHOW & MOTORING EVENT (www.southglosshow.co.uk) on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd August

Venue: The Windmill Fisheries Showground, Westerleigh Road, Bristol, BS37 8QZ

The car show element of this festival is being organised by the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club with numerous other Clubs and Dealerships confirmed as attending. The Bristol Motor Club will be running a track where you can ‘have a go’ at precision driving exercises amongst a host of other activities at the show for the whole family.

Our stand will be erected between 9am and 5pm on both days. Entry to the show is £5 per car including 2 people. To book your tickets, please telephone the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club on 0117 9698186 and state that you will be joining the BMW Car Club Stand. Please note that entry to this show is usually £10, but as a Car Club, we have a special rate of £5 per car including 2 people (there is a small additional charge if there are more than two people in the car). These ‘special price tickets’ can only be purchased via the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club – speak to Graham or James in their office to purchase.

Saturday 2nd August will be an opportunity for a Club meet and social gathering with the opportunity to explore the whole show.

On Sunday 3rd August we have invited our local BMW Dealership (Wellsway BMW) to join us and in addition to all Club Member’s cars - every one of which will be part of our Stand - we will be putting on a display which we are calling “The BMW 3 Series through the Ages”. The display will actually start with an example of an 02, then an E21 and on through all 3 Series models culminating in Wellsway displaying a new 3 Series, 4 Series Gran Coupe and the awesome M4! We believe that with the inclusion of the newly launched M4, that this could be the first time this line-up has been on display at the same time and place!

First post now updated with more information. I will be liaising directly with the Car Club rep (Dan) assuming we have enough people interested in joining in with it!

I'm wondering if focusing on one day may be the best way forwards, perhaps the Sunday as that seems to be the more organised.

But then if people want to go to Saturday, then that's cool too. Doubt I can make both days, and Sundays are always better for me!

Hiya Gazz is this only for the Z3 and 3 series or any BMWCC member? Would Alpina's be welcome? If so then I shall be there.

Brian, the club just want cars to come along! The 3 series display is just something extra they are putting on for the Sunday.

Thanks Chris,

I need to get people motivated for this as well. I'll bump the various FB pages I visit in a bit as well.

Convoy sounds great :)

I got an email update from Dan at BMWCCGB earlier, but haven't had time to read it. Will update the thread tomorrow with whatever he has out in it, assuming its useful info!

Update from Dan at the car club. Don't think any of this is new news, but I'll post it here anyway!

All BMWs are welcome to the BMW Stand on both the Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd August regardless of whether they are BMWCC Members or not – all BMWs are welcome on BOTH days.

This is turning out to be a very big event with lots of car clubs and family activities on offer. There have been signs up around the area since 1stJuly warning people of delays around the show area as lots are expected. As such, I have to suggest that people pre-book their tickets – they are £5 from the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club Tel. 0117 9698186 – just state that you will be joining the BMW Car Club Stand. Simple as that!! If people do want to wait until the day it would cost £10 on the gate and early arrival would be highly recommended.

We are running a Show ‘n’ Shine on the Sunday with 1st, 2nd and 3rd places, plus a “Wellsway BMW Car of the Show” trophy!!

We already have quite a number of cars coming so should be a good turnout!!
