Yep, agree, its great, but to be totally honest, not as a daily driver in the countries we live in. How often do we really get the roof down? Also got a bit feed up with leaking A-Pillars and a wet bum....
I get where you're coming from on that Mike, but on the rare days when the sun shines .............................................

Now that just goes to show how some things never change Martin, especially in motoring. When I was 11yrs old the E TYPE made its first appearance only to be shipped over to the USA and all us school children at the time were wondering if we would ever see one in the flesh and it was in 1963 I saw my first one with all wheels locked up after coming round a bend and confronted by our pick up lorry manoeuvring to get access to the cottage we were working on. First time I ever saw car tyres smoking, did stop ok though and its left its mark on me with never ending love for this icon of a car. Not that it happened in the same way for you, but I'm thinking in your youth you've seen something you really liked and that's drawn you to the looks of the coupe. Well if that's so then at least you've got one, as for me ever owning a E type well think I've more chance of seeing the REAL Father Christmas:( but I do have a Z so things didn't turn out too bad for me after all.:happy::happy: Thank you BMW, shame you put a dreadful steering wheel on it though.

Roy.
