Sopers no more......

Rocked up to Sopers in Lincoln to find they had been taken over by Group 1.....staff are unhappy and several people have left.
Probably not a big issue to most people on the forum but Sopers often gave a discount for members of this forum .....I'm unsure if this will continue.

Group 1 also took over our local dealer, Barons, but they weren't that good these days. the bigger companies get the worse they get.

Looks like Group1 has taken on lots of sites - not always the whole group, and not just BMW - from different franchise owners in the last few years...Inchcape, Coopers, Sopers, Barons, Chandlers, Elms, Robinsons, Fairfield, L&L Automotive, etc.

Mostly in the east/south-east.

Thats good news, I rang them for my Z4 indicator upgrades but couldn't get through to parts so went to LLLparts instead. Should have kept trying!
