Yep it’s my old Z3, bit surprised but that’s life. Would buy it back at the right price but a dealer wouldn’t let it go for what I’d pay. Win some lose some. Good luck to new owner, it’s still looking great. Really hope someone on here will recommend it to a friend who’ll get the most out of it even if a bit overpriced, but like I ve said before “it’s only worth what someone is prepared to pay.” I got no gripe having got what I asked for it plus I’ve got a well looked after and great little coupe. Say no more!!!!!! I

Roy;)
Hi Roy

Great looking z3 in my opinion with some tasteful mods. Be great to know a little more about the car when you get a moment. Seems a lot of time and investment has gone into it.

Most everything you want/need to know has been posted on here at some time or other. If your really interested go and have a look and test drive, then get full inspection for piece of mind. I would buy it back but not for that amount of money because realistically that model and age plus mileage should only fetch about £3500 although some with really low miles are going for up to £5000 but only if your prepared to pay that much. Mods are only for those who like me want to make car more to their liking but don’t usually help resale value unless you know the car and owner. Hope that answers some of your questions remembering it’s been out of my ownership for nearly a year now. If you decide to buy it then feel free to contact me.

RHA,Roy.

Thanks Roy. Looks like a great example and nice to see the pics on the forum. It still looks great from the pics in the advert. Will definitely take a look.

Are you local to me near Mansfield then?

No but travel to the midlands area quite frequently so could combine with a work trip.

Very well worth a look, but that price is a bit cheeky.

Depends if there’s any movement. Agree would be at the top end at the asking price.

Price and value are different things to different people. I'd wager a lot of our cars have cost us more than the £5.5k that Rha's old car is currently up for.
A paint job, replacement wheels, sports seats, interior mods etc soon get the numbers scrolling upwards, on top of the purchase cost.. My black zed has cost me well over £5.5k as it stands now.
Original purchase price £2995.00, Hard top and fitting kit £600, Roll hoops £300, BBS RK500 wheels £500, engine rebuild after Euro adventure £700ish, Replacement engine after my rebuild wasn't successful £1400 ........ plus umpteen £s on other bits and pieces and I'm not afraid to say it's still not as nice as Rha's old car.

If you like it and you want it and if you can afford it, then buy it, we're only here once

Thanks Jack, you nearly got me in the coupe to go buy it back:cool:. Still in love with it but like you say,” we’re only here once” and I’ve loved the Z4Coupe ever since it came out, I wouldn’t have had another chance at my age so bit the bullet loaned £4000 from the wife and myself (savings) and couldn’t believe my luck when Lee mentioned he’d be letting it go. The loan has been paid back from my pension because I’d already been saving for a year before, that’s why the good lady took pity on me and said “ oh go on then but just remember the house needs decorating” Things we do just to get a decent motor. Bathroom, entrance hall, stairs and landing done, just hope she forgets about the rest.=))=))=)).

@Rha do you want to buy it back?
Hi Mac, sorry nearly forgot to reply as so much going on over this post. Didn’t think so many people would remember it. Mac if I had your money I’d buy it back tomorrow.=))
The coupe is going as strong as ever so I have some compensation for letting the Z3 go, anyway the boss said
no way could I have two two seater cars and a 4 door M was out the question. Can’t complain Mac as she’s put up with my petrol head antics for 48yrs so far. :bookworm:. Just bought her a Fiat 500c for her birthday so do get a bit of fresh air but only drive it with my shades on:cool:.

Thanks for the offer of support I’ll let you know if any help needed. I agree with all comments and seems Roy treasured it whilst he owned it. If I go for it can assure you it will be well looked after

Completely agree it can run away with you. I have a TT Quattro Sport and must have sunk 5k into it to get it how I wanted. Guess it’s our love of cars so we justify it.

I knew a couple of beers on a Sunday late afternoon could lead to trouble. The deal is done! Some movement on the asking price but let’s just say I wish I had seen Roy selling it when he did!

That said I’m chuffed to be the next owner. I know some prefer standard but for me I am very happy to take advantage of the effort Roy has put into the car. I’ll send some pics over once I pick it up next weekend!

well done, you have a cracking Z, one of the nicest I have seen, in fact I had a nibble at Roy to sell it to me at one point but he was having none of it
