Also having owned both, my jury voted in favour of the Z3. So the Z4 was sold......Having owned both. ........ .......The jury is still out!
Horses for courses mate. Some times you're ahead sometimes you're behind. Cest la Vie.With the mileage I'm doing at the moment, I'd love my 3.0 auto Z4 back again.
Having just driven half way across the country I couldn't agree more. Lovely and quiet on the motorway, very surprising for a convertible roadster. Can't wait till warmer times to see how she performs with her top off. Ooof, that almost sounds pornographicWith the mileage I'm doing at the moment, I'd love my 3.0 auto Z4 back again.
Nowt wrong with a bit of wind in your hair with the roof down bill.Pete you will find it breezier in the Z4 than the Z3 with the top down
What's Hair? Oh I remember would like it back to keep my head warm!Nowt wrong with a bit of wind in your hair with the roof down bill.
Just picked up my Z4 yesterday Jim, now 2 Zeds in the family. Going to have to get my dad involved and get on a cruise sometime.Welcome to the Z4 gang Pete, about time you got a proper car, rather than that A*** scrapper you had, will have to arrange a meet to compare cars now, had mine for a while now, and its still got to grow on me but its getting there, Great car just not the looks of the Z3, but as for handling/comfort/practicality it is years ahead of the Z3, Let me know when you can meet up, be nice to catch up, been a while.
Jim
Alright Jim. I'd love to meet up with you and the usual suspects, we need to get a Welsh cruise on the go. My new shift patern is a funny sort of five on five off kind of thing but it basically works out that I get every other weekend off. I'll look at my shift rota tomorrow and pm you my weekends off. Hopefully we can put some sort of cruise together and drag the likes of bill, moz and Wayne out too.Welcome to the Z4 gang Pete, about time you got a proper car, rather than that A*** scrapper you had, will have to arrange a meet to compare cars now, had mine for a while now, and its still got to grow on me but its getting there, Great car just not the looks of the Z3, but as for handling/comfort/practicality it is years ahead of the Z3, Let me know when you can meet up, be nice to catch up, been a while.

That's fantastic Connor, bit of an old mans car though that's why I got one, more economical than the Z3 though and a lot more up to date..Just picked up my Z4 yesterday Jim, now 2 Zeds in the family. Going to have to get my dad involved and get on a cruise sometime.
Connor.
I feel the opposite to be fair Jim, what with all the gadgets the Z4 has (gadgets being air con and auto wipers/headlights)Pete where are the pictures, you know you cant buy a zed without the obligatory pictures

I used to have them on my first car 206 roland garros. They seemed to work better than these new onesThe one thing I wish my car didn't have? . . . . . poxy rain sensitive wipers. They're horrible, same on Shirl's Eos, completely useless in my humble opinion.
Tony.
All about comfort, that's why (and I am sure a lot will agree) I see it as an older gentleman's car.I feel the opposite to be fair Jim, what with all the gadgets the Z4 has (gadgets being air con and auto wipers/headlights)
Very Nice Pete. I have the 108's on mine, and love the look of them:View attachment 26603
Your wish is my command! 52,000 miles, one owner from new. She is a little gem.
The only cosmetic thing that bothers me are the alloys. They look alright but I fancy a set of CSL's, this will have the added benefit of having wider tyres on the rear. There are plenty of replica wheels out there but it is difficult to pick out the wheat from the chaff. I want a decent set as this car will almost certainly be seeing a track in the near future!!!!
I like the combo of red leather with black paint work, very nice Jim.Very Nice Pete. I have the 108's on mine, and love the look of them:
