did you buy some hoops that were damaged, and are having difficulty with a seller called Aaron?
No, but I bought an electrical item which wasn't as advertised and even overheated to the extent it almost caught fire and the seller isn't interested and neither is eBay.

And his phrase "spent" 11k translates into "nicked 11k's worth of gear"!
Thanks for posting this Aaron, and really sorry to read about all the hassle you've been through with it, but I'm sure a lot of us will now be a lot more wary of who we buy and sell from on Ebay in the future.

Fair point, although I'm not sure about naming him publicly.
What I will say is the address was in Bury, north of Manchester, and if anyone wants me to confirm if the same address comes up, PM me the details.
If at some point we can confirm he's an intentional scammer, or there's identity fraud going on, I will disclose his full details.

Well, today's the day.
The 30th day since the funds were sent for return postage and they remain unclaimed, so hopefully within the next 24 hours, I'll get that back via Paypal, and this whole thing can finally be put to bed.
Otherwise, the status remains unchanged.
I got paid, the buyer kept the item along with a full refund and ebay disabled any feedback on the transaction.

I was actually thinking about you today and wondered how much longer you've got to wait for the refund from paypal

Just checked my Paypal account and can confirm the refund was issued yesterday (day 31) so that concludes the fun.
Glad to hear that it’s all finally come to an end.
Glad you got your cash at least but I wished eBay would have more balls with there financial resources at there disposal to chase and prosecute these kind of scum. With there stupid left wing polices they allow these incidents to happen.
Can't help but feel two friends could exploit this system quite well to their advantage
My goodness! Having stumbled upon this thread via a link within a thread, this is horrendous. Very much a practised scam, IMO. Well done Aaron for persevering and how disheartening that the scammer got to keep the hoops and refund. Makes for caution when using such tech giants like EBay.
