You just can't believe how some people can be so selfish, callous and stupid.
You can't really believe someone can mistake an ambulance on a call for a van.

I hope that
  • The ambulance service publish the address where this happened - I think everyone has a right to know who the small minded person is, and,
  • Blacklist the address for any ambulance, fire service and police until at least they get a public apology. They don't deserve any benefit of the blue light services when they try and deny others access to it.

That's shocking mate!! Hope they arrest the idiot

Sadly they breath and breed amongst us Ian. I'd sit the individual in a room and make them watch some graphic footage of our emergency services doing what they do best. The more graphic the better.

Great idea

The emergency services show these clips in presentations at various colleges, it focusses the minds of the 17 year olds about to embark on a driving career. This is one of the reasons our roads are amongst the safest in the World, shock tactics. I've presented a few, you can hear a pin drop!

This needs to be taught more
Sounds like it really has a big impact

It's a combined emergency services effort and has been going on for a while. Softly softly in Primary School, 15 rated in Secondary School and 18xxx at College. The feedback is it works.

There really are some prize ar**h**es about ! One day they will need an ambulance

The problem is that those who most need this education are frequently the ones already switched off or influenced entirely by dysfunctional homes. They need a few hours outside the mortuary (just the one visit should be enough - their second might not be as pleasant) or a few hundred hours community service cleaning down ambulances.

Mainly claret out of the back and stretchers mate

What is this world coming too :p
If their were no parking spaces left on the road , it wouldn't bother me if the ambulance ( I can spell it lol ) parked on my drive ;)
You never know when you need a ambulance ;)
Or any other services ;)
I had the ambulance to my house 4 times last year :(
And I take my hat off to them :)
As I'd never get to hospital without them ;)

I agree, name and shame her locally, get her pic in the local paper.

Some people are just so selfish.

Unbelievable! Her time will come and they will treat her as well as anybody else because that is what the paramedics do! Makes my p*** boil!

There is just no understanding these types, it makes me wonder whether is a result of the lack of intelligence, upbringing or just plain selfishness? Surely not? It is conceivable she didn't know it was an ambulance? Perhaps she was high, drunk or mentally unstable, I just find it hard to understand how a person who was compos mentis would behave this way.

The bi*** probably never uses ambulances, as probably on Benefits and BUPA .
Definitely name and shame.
