Recently I've been thinking that my eminently practical,reliable,but sluggish Toyota Avensis Estate daily driver has got to go.I feel that I want a big comfortable relaxed automatic saloon especially on our long trips down to Spain.
So I've been busy looking at E class Mercs,BMW 5 series and Audi A6 cars and so it was that I went to see a 525 diesel automatic the other day.
Then standing there with the allure of a sultry pouting Penelope Cruz was a shiny black M Sport 325i.Of course I went over to have a look.Sat inside surrounded by leather and wood trim my thoughts immediately took me back to the mid sixties sitting in my mates 3.4 Mk 2 Jag.
20 minutes later Mr Sensible has gone on holiday and Mr Loud Pedal is at the wheel.
Yeah,I bought it. What a plonker!!!!!!!!!!!

Like the comments! Just got to find a nice little twin cam Z3 now. It was the 1.9 140 bhp car I was after when I bought my 2.8. Seen a few ,but mostly miles away from me.

Nice car Ken, Did you originally say you were selling the Z because you wanted an Auto?

Yes,my intention was as I said E Class Merc or similar,but saw the 325i Msport and after driving it I was smitten! It has also taken me back to my original intentions when buying a fun sports car.I got a Mazda MX5 and loved it ,but for the rust.So I looked for a Z3 1.9,but saw the 2.8 and bought it. It was very nice,too nice to 'taz' about all the time so now I'm back to the bit of fun - 1.9 arriving tomorrow.
We can drive up to Ollerton on 2nd May - if I can keep up with the Z4!!!
