I am now into week 3 and about 8 hours refitting my new soft top. I know I could have got it done in Swansea in an afternoon but I wanted to address some of my roofs other issues at the same time. I’ll create a post for that when I have finished… anyway ..today was the roof liner. I knew the one on mine was a bit battered and the plastic guides had snapped. I had a better condition replacement but it’s was very sun faded on the folds. So first job was to give it a wash in the bath.. I didn’t take a picture of the bath water but if you remember the Young Ones - ‘it’s a bit cloudy Rik’ 
. Next was 2 coats of fabric paint. I used black Fabricoat. Really quite pleased with the result.
