Hi,

I've got a leak into my z3. Good news is that I know the source of the leak. After fix i would like to be 100% that everything is ok, but I'm not sure about a seal which goes between back of the soft top and body. It doesn't look as original bmw.

Could anyone tell me is it original seal or send some photos of theirs?

Yes that's original, there are 2 plastic clips that's bridge the gap, I removed 2 from a breaker yesterday, they may be spare but I'll have to check to see if my other spare hood has them.

That’s only really a trim piece compared with the main seals hidden inside the rear bulkhead. There is a plastic strip which seals with butyl to the chassis on one side and the hood frame on the other.

These butyl seams are the usual source of leaks at the back unless a drain channel is blocked.

Thank you, please let me know if you have some to sell.

One of the leak is butyl, but the main one because the roof is not attached to the frame properly with staples. In that case the water is getting between roof and seal which I asked about, as the roof material is not tensioned enough.
