Not long back from Oxfordshire at the Global Retreat Centre's annual Peace In The Park 'Festival of Spirit'. Loads of activities from Karma Workshops to Meditation for beginners all topped off with the evening concert.

Set off home at the end of a glorious sunny day, top down in full evening sun. Fantastic drive back up the A5 from Towcester by now in darkness, hood and windows down, stereo up and a largely empty road :smug:

Went for a big bike ride with the wife today around the stunning Hampshire countryside.

Shame that this particular pub was closed, but a short few miles down the road was another

We're having great fun :)
It's lovely not going to work ;)

We were in a chalet on Dunster beach front completing re furnishing it after redecorating and updating, lunch on patio, washed down with some Speckled Hen walk to Dunster station to see steam train, ice cream on way back to chalet followed by tea & home made lemon drizel cake then home 4 miles away followed by a BBQ in the evening. How the rich live HaHa.
Chalet will be advertised to rent out soon.

@Gail and @Synclare, that's a lovely part of the country.I have liked Beer (I'm talking about the place this time)ever since I was a boy and we spent family holidays down there. We actually stayed at a pub in the village of East Lambrook as my dad knew the landlord, but each day we went down to Beer,Seaton or Charmouth in our 1947 Austin 10.

Didn't do a tap. Was told last Friday that I need a knee replacement, when I was expecting to be told I needed key hole surgery to repair a damaged cartilage. Turns out there isn't any cartilage to repair. In the next breath I was told that at 59 I'm too young to have the op straight away, unless I pay privately of course, and will have to grin and bare it for a little while yet.

As it's my left knee I can still drive my auto Zed and the Merc without any serious discomfort. The works van is a different matter though.

I hadn't driven my Zed for 3-4 weeks so yesterday I took her out for a quick 30 mile run up the A39 through Truro and down A30 to Hambuger Hill and then home to Probus.

While my car has been sitting in the garage the ABS light and Traction Control lights have come on. I tried to investigate but no codes are stored.

Anyway, the car is back in the garage and I'm back at work in Pompey dockyard.

Still haven't lost a single work day through ill health or sickness for just over 12yrs now but don't know how much longer I can hold out for.
