So what does your garage look like?

Is there any relationship in the time period of when this thread originated to how long it might have taken you to clean up the garage for this picture?
If it's like mine Frankie, it's either very tidy OR very NOT ! But we're still lucky to have one.

Like to keep it tidy so i can find stuff.
And dont have a lot of room to fit the zed in :)

Frankie, at least yours is paved, for the past nearly 40 years I've lived in the country with only gravel driveways to work on. Then my son bought his house and it had a 54x30 metal shop with a full concrete floor. Daddy had to kick in some money to secure the deal but I now have a shop. Guess what I did today? Changed 4 tires and wheels on my jeep on my driveway cuz there's so much stuff in the shop right now I couldn't fit it in. That's gonna change though cuz I'm getting a two post hoist for it. JIM 2

I change my own tires also. I bought this Coats 10-10 tire machine for $200 from an old farmer who sold out toa a developer and it was the best money I ever spent. I also have a bubble balancer that the old guys still swear by. Works great. Frankie

Hi Badman
Lovely garage!
I see a blue Clean Your Car holdall. Do you have a DAS 6 polishing machine in there?
I am wondering whether I should buy one.
My Zed's paintwork is in great condition but there are some swirls and minor scratches that won't budge with just elbow grease.
I am tempted but it would be good to have comments from those who use a Dual Action machine before making my decision.
Grateful to hear from anyone on this subject.

Hi mike, ta for comments :)
The bag has just got autoglym products in but I do have a meguiars da polisher I have recently obtained, still learning which pads/compounds to use for best results but it certainly beats elbow grease & has improved our z3 with regards to swirls a lot.
Regards

Thanks for the feedback. Sounds like a worthwhile addition to my detailing kit.
I suffer with tendonitis in my shoulder and car polishing aggravates it so I figure that mechanical polishing will be much better for me.
I was looking to buy the kit which includes the Menzerna (German) compounds which were recommended to me by a detailing expert. I also have a 3 series 56 plate and the paintwork on this car is not in as good condition as the paint on my 1999 Z3. In total I have three cars to clean and polish regularly so a DA machine might be a good thing to have.

UPDATE:

I pulled down the old garage and sold the container. I then started the retaining wall with the first of 4 levels. Today they just laid the concrete and note how smooth the finish is. The concrete is dry as a bone by the way! Power and water will be in the shed. It has 3 bays for the cars and 1 bay will be built in for storage of tools and such.

I'm envious @Cooper I would love to design my own garage, one day maybe.

Here is my garage may not be huge but I have rebuilt double figure zeds inside. I have more storage through the door at the rear where I keep my bikes.

It just goes to show that with a bit of organisation you can achieve a huge amount in a standard single garage.
