Hey there! I’m MsMuse, or otherwise known as Tracy. My garage has housed a 95 bmw 325i and a 01 Land Rover Discovery for over a decade now. Though two cars were more than efficient they just seemed lonely... like a couple without a child. So like any good owner would do I finely broke down and bought them a little baby a 2001 bmw z3 3.0i and I can’t even discribe how proud I am of new addition to the stable.

Anyhow, I am here to get advice, find meet ups, get tips, share ideas, make friends, and hear great stories.

Hi @MsMuse , a great addition to the collection! Welcome from me near Lincoln UK. Where are you located, that doesn't look like Fla.? We'll be there in a few weeks, can't wait.

Tony.

ps. Looks like the west, along route 66?

Yeah, I’m in the west along rout 66 lol! I am actually located in/around Kingman Az. which is along the Route 66.

The zed is almost mint with only 83k miles and only two owners (think that’s what the car fax said... could have been only one owner though). I know the car is 16 Years old now but it really is like new. It even came with the window sticker and all other literature that it was sold with. Besides the epected deterioration of the usual suspects (sounds like the rear shock mounts need the rogue engineering treatment, and rear window molding is starting to lift) you would think it was brand new.

As with most US cars the mileage is up on what you might find over here in Europe/UK but even so 83K is nothing, only just run in!
We hope to go out and do the Route 66 in a car when I get to retire and spend more time at our villa in Kissimmee Florida, but @FRANKIE and @miller1098 have already been that way when Frankie bought his Imola red ///M and the pair of them drove it back to New Jersey from California. Your car looks great, just what I could do to leave in our garage when we leave to come home to the UK.

Tony.

ps. Keep it out of the sun as much as you can.;) but enjoy!!

Yeah, I actually just moved out here and the house is being built, so the car will have to survive for a few months outside in the Arizona sun. Luckily where I work is covered parking so at least there is some reprieve from the relentless beatings of this wretched fiery ball in the sky. Route 66 is a fun trip with lots of great sites along the way with the Grand Canyon being the pinical of the trip. For me though, if I knew I would only ever be able to do just one more road trip here in the states it would have to be the 1 and 101 up the West Coast from San Diago to Seattle! It is so incredibly beautiful and there is so much to see along the way it makes Route 66 feel boring. Truly worth looking into!

Also on our radar Tracy, the only road trip we have managed up until now is down the US1 along the east coast of Florida right down to Key West then back up to near Fort Lauderdale, across Alligator Alley to the west coast of Florida and back to Kissimmee.
I can't understand anyone who doesn't want to see these sights in their lifetime! One day.;)

Tony.

ps. Have flown over the Grand Canyon during a visit to Vegas a few years ago, God what happened there last weekend ?:(

Look forwards to driving through Monument Valley at some point.

Yeah, I have a daughter that lives in Kissimmee and I’ve done a bit of traveling around Florida. As a pilot I have seen almost the entirety of the US. As a lover of BMW’s and traveling I have driven almost every major highway as well. I often grow tired of the people who say you have to leave the USA to see anything worth visiting. There is truly so much beauty out here.

Unfortunately I don’t think anyone really truly knows. I would like to say I’m shocked as to what went down, but instead I find myself frequently wondering how something like this hadn’t happened even sooner. Im just glad (if one could even draw any positive thought from such a tragedy) that it happened at an even that didn’t have much in the way of children attending (though I’m sure there were minors involved somewhere) like there would at a Disney theme park. I think that I like many others are just waiting for some sort of explanation. Once you get over the initial shock of it all your left asking why, and when there’s no responce it makes it all that much more frustrating. It’s bad enough that the cowered killed himself, but to not even give an explanation just seems such a pointless waist...

You can kick that Fiery Ball our way if you want, I really don't know why we bother with ragtops here in the UK Wet Wet Wet. Welcome to the forum and keep on top of that lovely colored (American Spelling) Zed.
