I don’t, but they are inexpensive from BMW. I will be looking to add a couple to my just in case parts bin.

I believe part number is 51718401844.

I had a washer replaced by my garage during the week and it cost £60: pounds :p
It was because they didn’t know what was leaking and by the time they found it , was nearly 50 mins , it was nearly all labour charges , but personally it was a lot of money :(

That is a crazy price for a small piece of plastic!!
All I can say is thank goodness for our resident breakers. We would all be a lot poorer without them.

Can't think why it would take 50 minutes to find a washer jets leaking?

Tony.

Indeed, but worse case scenario, if used parts are unavailable, it’s relatively inexpensive.

Had to get the front section of my exhaust inc cat (M43) replaced recently, normally it is something I would do myself but at my age lying on my back under the car struggling with the exhaust doesnt appeal. The cost from BMW was over £1600!! and they had no stock so I bought one off eBay for £74 , it didnt fit so I returned it. Found another on eBay for £200 which was the correct part but poorly made. The front O2 sensor was welded at an angle so the sensor pointed to the underside of the car, so this had to be removed and rewelded, and the pipe itself had to be heated and bent to fit. The bill for labour was £90 cash which wasnt bad for the work involved. The eBay firm( Autogressive of similar) who sold me the exhaust at a cost of £200 didnt want to know about any form of compensation and , but all sorted now ,time to move on.

I had much better luck with a cheapie exhaust for my brother’s M44. £45 I think and it worked a treat. But that was the rear sections.

Btw this plastic piece is not representative of BMW prices in general. I tend to find many of the smaller parts like this to be very reasonably priced.

You may well be right but I was also charged £10 for the small bulb that lights up the heater controls.

Indeed. Another unfortunate case.

But I could do a fair sized list of parts which people would probably be very surprised at. Good example being the passenger cargo net and front bumper sidelamps which are cheaper than most people sell for secondhand.

I’m no BMW fan boy. I just like to know where to get the best value parts :)
