Hi
Was wondering how many there are of us active on the site and living somewhere in France? As a relatively new member without access to any site data, I have been advised to ' just ask the question' - and this seems to me to be the best place to try.
I know of two - myself here in Normandy and Mike Fishwick in the Dordogne - and we are hoping to meet up sometime around La Rochelle in the Spring. So there is plenty of time for any other members based in France to make contact before then if they wish to do so.
Is it perhaps the case that others are (also) registered on alternative sites like Z3ClubFrance etc?

If you plan an event and put it in the Events Section then people will have a definite date to aim for. It's over the Channel so more expensive than a normal run but you may get some interest. You could always copy the link to the Z3ClubFrance or vice versa. Good luck 👍

Thanks Andy. Nothing as grand as that - not yet anyway. Just trying to get a better idea of how many members live in France.

There used to be (is?) an annual Z3 gathering organised by the 3-Series Club de France, which always attracted a lot of cars from the UK. Perhaps it may be worth meeting up with them at la Rochelle for a night in a hotel on their way home.
I have to confess that I detest group drives, as they always seem to bring out the worst in people, with M Roadster drivers who want to do at least 90 mph on 50 mph country roads . . . that is not a good idea in a car with French plates, driven my someone with a French licence!

My thoughts are very similar although we enjoyed a rare day out a few years ago in an MGB with the French MG Car Club around the Loire. For now I am really just checking out how many Brits there are in France and registered on this site. At the moment Mike it would seem 'il y n'a que nous'!!

I'n a newbe too living in the aveyron and wondered how many other Z's are hereabouts; did this thread bear fruits?

Don't tar us all with the same brush, I am more than happy to sit at 89mph.
