Can you not talk to the council/highways agency to install proper crash barriers in front of the house?
It amazes me how any houses I see that are right on the road with no protection on busy A roads (by that I mean not set back like yours but literally front door opens onto a tiny sidewalk next to the road).
Ps maybe that bright red Seat is acting like a magnet attracting drivers to your garden!

Can't be the Seat. Dino, this has been happening all the time we've lived here since 1980. Lady driving the car said she wasn't going fast, a fact supported by 2 lorry drivers which were following her. Unless she had a very soft right rear tyre or she was on her phone maybe, I can't understand how they lose it on that piece of dual carriage way.
