Snowed in

It’s been just cold over here with a few light snow flurries but very windy well gale force up to 58mph.

90 weather at last :)

Not a lot of snow here, just howling winds and chuffing cold. Did see a bloke in Pwllheli earlier IN SHORTS! WTF? I'm assuming he's a geordie on holiday.

Only be a Geordie if he was wearing a tee shirt with the shorts. If he had a jacket on was definitely from down south, like Middlesborough.
We moved to north east from the Midlands 30 years ago and were amazed at the winter dress code of young people. Lads in tee shirts and girls in short mini dresses waiting at bus stop and its snowing, not a coat in sight. We had thick coats, scarve, hats and gloves.

Used to think (being a soft southern w**ker) that it was a cliche about them northern types wearing next to nothing in winter. Then I went up there for a New Year bash with some friends :wideyed: blimey it's true. Think I'll stick to hat/coat/gloves. And leaving the roof UP when I go out soon.

Carp Weather! It's taken Our Gary and Shirl almost 7 hours to get home from Manc.

Lucky to have made it at all looking at the roads up there. Home safe is what matters.

This bloke must have been really cold .... o_O

A Highways England response vehicle trying to help drivers on a snow-hit motorway caught on fire today.

The cavalry have arrived but their campfire got a little out of control.
Disco 4 by all accounts. They carry loads of equipment up back. Suspected that something in there overheated.

I have been more than a little concerned Ian.;). Took almost as long as it did to cross the Atlantic. Glad I didn't go to Rugby this morning and I wasn't alone. Re booked for 16th.

Wise choice.
Apparently many roads south of Rugby were blocked or very slow this morning. Working from home instead.
