Well, it would freeze at night in the winter months when I was working down there.

Snow started falling in the early hours of Sunday morning and it quickly began settling on the sand.

Are we sure that's not white coral sand?? :)

Deserts can get very cold at night. Once made the mistake of packing longsleeved shirt and lightweight jacket into suitcase (loaded in guards van) when taking the train across the Nullarbor. :oops:

I was in Bahrain in November and one day the temp was down to around 25C and some of the locals were wearing overcoats and they turned the aircon off in the hotel.
