Been following this for quite a while , Scotland seems to have a large number of cars out of use.
It appears to be some police force have not been sticking to BMW special service programme for these operation cars , incorrect oil grades and extending the period between oil changes.( should be every 6,000 miles )
I was told many years ago the oil is a lot cheaper than engines.

Another little gem from when my brother and I were old boys someone told us, "the more you thrash your car, the more it'll thrash your pocket".

Think you could be right Tony, seems the more I belt it the more it cries. Bit like me when I was punished as a kid but I didnt cry from the belts I cried cos I got caught. Next time the Z gets caught I’ll take a good belt to it.
Well just keep off the A1 then.
