That was one hell of a Test Match - England again showing that if you don't put them away when they're down, they'll come back and bite you.

Cameron Cowie: What a Test match. Hit for hit, kick for kick, on the edge of your seat rugby.

Keith Smith: Poor game from England sloppy errors and poor basic play but a win is a win. God help the rest when they click!

Courtney Perks: 80 minutes of blood, sweat and fantastic rugby! Heroic effort from both squads.

Andy Sarratt: Fantastic resilience from the red rose, what a match, what a result!

Michael Blyth: Ross Moriarty tackles like a train. By that I mean with great force and normally late.

Daly - 'We can win even when we're behind'
Wales 16-21 England

Elliot Daly, England's match winner, speaking on BBC Radio 5 live: There wasn't much thought going through my head I just ran to the line. We've got the belief that if we do our roles, we can win, even when we are behind. Obviously it's a massive win, but we've now got two weeks to prepare for Italy.

Shaun Summers: When you feel knackered just watching the game, you know its been a good one!

Sam Hughes: Dylan Hartley a great captain. But Jamie George a better hooker. What's more important?

John Blenkharn: Quality test match. If the Lions can replicate the intensity from both sides they'll have a chance in NZ

Great game TBF. Rugby was the winner here

As said early on in this thread I'm not a big sports fan. Watched the second half of this and really enjoyed it, especially the result!

Nervous for the Scots today, another win will set them up :)

Glad Scotland are being sensible and going for the 3 points when they're on offer (Wales take note!)

Half Time
Summary

  1. Latest score: France 13-11 Scotland
  2. Fickou try, Lopez 2 pens & 1 con for France
  3. Hogg try, Russell 2 pens for Scotland

What a terrible conversion............
Unacceptable mistake by Russell, hope Scotland won't miss these extra points.

Scotland full-back Stuart Hogg speaking on BBC One:

"It was tough out there, France really brought it to us, but we chucked it away."

"Our errors cost us in the end. We didn't look after the ball, we didn't respect it and that has cost us."

"Obviously I'm chuffed with the try, but now our next job is Wales in a couple of weeks."

'Laidlaw a loss'

Greig Laidlaw has been a massively influential player for Scotland over the past four seasons so his injury early on was always going to have an impact.

At the end, when the set-piece becomes such a big part of it, Greig Laidlaw may well have had an influence over the team.

What can one say, Big win for England devastation for Wales, to control the game for 60 minutes and play OK rugby and for one dozy player and yes I will name him Jonathan Davies to gift England the win is unbelievable, all he had to do is put it out and the game was as good as won. Only one person lost this game and it was Jonathan Davies, England again by the skin of their teeth get a win..Not Bitter at all though..

Bad decisions during the game by Wales contributed to the end result. Well done England, but the best team lost.

I thought it was a great game that England edged over the 80 minutes. I think we made more handling errors including one that nearly ended up in a great try for Wales (wrong man, not fast enough). The best team (just) won ;)

I must have been watching a different game;) Wales struggled to break down the English defence (which was in fairness excellent) but bad decisions were made by Wales two penalties and they failed to go for the pointso_O the game was theirs for the taking and they gave the game away "AGAIN".

And they edged it in the last 5 minutes not 80 minutes.

Been too tardy lately, a pair of great games last weekend, the biggest positive for Wales is on that showing they should get a few more in the Lions. England were gifted that last score but you have to be in it to win it so well done. Sweatys should have done better. Ireland didn't have too much of a test. Perhaps Italy are saving it up for a historic win. Will Eddie pick a less experienced team? The French were French of old, still good to watch.
