Well done Scotland...

  1. Full-time: Scotland 27-22 Ireland

Story of the second half

Scotland 27-22 Ireland

Ireland made 319 metres to Scotland's 126 in the second half. However, Scotland made 121 second half tackles, more than Ireland made in the entire match (115).

Scotland not as convincing in the second half but they dug deep and did not panic when they went behind 21-22.

On the limit

England 3-6 France

England have already conceded as many points as they do in the whole first half against France on average.

Everything England have talked about, everything you want them not to do, they have done - a sin-bin as well. I think the rugby gods helped get the referee out of a bit of a pickle, too.

But England got away with it right at the end of the first half when France should have scored a try.

Jonathan Dale:Wow. That was bad. If this is England being daring, I'd rather have 'boring'.

Nick Hughes:This is a different France, a competitive France. Something we haven't seen for years. Frustrating England & look dangerous.

Jon Salinger:I might be an English supporter but there is nothing as exciting as watching France playing beautiful rugby.

Dave Sommerville: Spedding has been impressive for France, helped in part by England's kicking out of hand which has been dreadful

Dismal is the word for that game after watching the Scotland Ireland game.
It was scrappy and England were lucky......

Substitutes seemed to bring some aggression to the game scrappy and untidy play.

Managed to drop off in the Scotland match usual pick and charge game well done Scotland for finding the way to win. Will bonus points have an effect in the end? and why does the Grand slam winner get 3 extra bonus points?

why does the Grand slam winner get 3 extra bonus points?
I thought the very same thing, if you win the grand slam you must have won but remember if the other teams pick up a shed load of bonus points then you may need the three extra points.

Yes you are right Brian
4x5 =20
4 x 4 =16 + 4 winning bonus for 4 tries and 1 losing bonus =21

A bit of a slip up there I feel, how can you win all your games and not win the competition?
