Event Simply BMW 19th July 2020 (The Vanity that isn't Vanity show at Beaulieu).

Look forward to an update, I have purchased a ticket. I'm concerned that the campsite facilities won't be open for campers.
Kind of hoping so, most things should be open by then unless there's a dramatic U-turn.

Update so far:
The event is on but the date may be revised so we're currently waiting for confirmation that it is still on 19th July...

The event itself is going to be "socially distanced" which means no club stands, however by arriving together we will be parked together but in amongst other cars too.

For this year it seems that we need to view this as a stand-alone event rather than a replacement for VanityBMW as it will be very different.

Regarding camping:
The latest announcements have given the green light for campsites to reopen on 4th July. I have asked for confirmation from Roundhills but understandably I'm yet to get a reply as their staff are reduced and working from home.

Once we have confirmation of the date I'll post details on here.

It's fair to assume this event will be much smaller than VanityBMW and we won't be able to represent the forum to the same high standard we set before, but let's not lose sight of the fact we will finally be able to go to a car event! I intend to make the best of a less than ideal situation and will have a great time.

After today's announcements Mark I don't think you should have any worries regarding the camp site being open.

Tony.

@Mac Romans
Hiya Mac, apologies, unfortunately we are going to pull out for this year, TBH we are not comfortable with the mass group parking I think that's worse that group stands, maybe see you all there next year.

Niall & Ali

I've just had a look, the campsite is fully booked for July! What are we going to do?
Where did you see that Mark? Just took a look at the web page, no mention of being full, that I could see? Rang the camp site but no answer, I'll give the other number a ring tomoz mate.

No answer from either number today, standard COVID-19 Voice Mail. Closed TFN

Email sent for booking info.

@Mac Romans unless things change. With the way they are going to put the cars on a very dry grassed area packed into a Tescos car park layout. I will be giving this a wide berth this year.

At present the grounds are open but nothing else. If that’s the case on the day with no club stands. It’s not great.

Sorry about this but my health comes first.

Well this is a devastating blow. It looks like the camping and BBQ is off. With that in mind I can’t justify the journey all the way down south from Derbyshire. The camping is my favourite part and really makes the weekend for me.
if locals still want to attend the event I would perhaps suggest meeting each other beforehand and driving in together but I can no longer go to this one I’m afraid...

Hi all. In light of no camping and no club stand etc we have decided to leave it this time. Hopefully we can make up for it next with a great stand and a club win again.

Stay Safe & see you at the zedfest maybe

Looks like this has been moved quite a way out:

All BMW owners are invited to drive into Beaulieu on Sunday 4th October and park up within the museum parkland for what promises to be a superb day out for both BMW owners and enthusiasts.

Nice mention in BMWCC Straight six magazine this month featuring the 8 series and how the club stand came second at Vanity Bealieu With the winners being Z roadster with a very impressive display

Well if your not going to Bealieu why not join me on the 4th Oct at the Bicester Scramble where the Sun normally shines and there’s so much to see you'll be amazed why you’ve never attended before. Maybe only two thirds of the journey for a lot of you. Google it and get your tickets, can always make arrangements to meet up somewhere just before the event and go in together maybe getting parked in one group. Even come in your second car if you dare.!!!! Might not bring the Fiat 500 of the wife's or the Z4 coupe, might be tempted to bring my new toy (@Mnbrennan) the Aston Martin DBS.=)).

RHA,Roy, :)
