Steve mine is not secured to anything and every time I go to do it I look for signs of it moving and can't find any so put it on the back burner, done a few thousand miles like it so maybe it don't need it.

Oh right that's good to know Roy .
I've a seen few cars with after market filters that aren't secured and seem ok.
Can't wait to get the exhaust done now :D.

Tell them exactly what you want Steve, get under the car with them so they are sure, I had a straight through silencer fitted by them and turned round half way home to take it back cos the boom was so bad, they fitted what they considered would be right for me and only charged for the extra labour. You'll get a lifetime guarantee with the S/S steel one but it's not transferable.

Good luck mate.
Roy.

That's good advise about the loudness I wouldn't want mine any louder it sounds great with the roof down and no drone which can ruin a car on a nice run.

I'll report back tomorrow when I've been for a spin ;).
You need WIDE throttle opening to hear it Steve, or just follow someone and ask them

Kind words for kind people mate
I'd do fancy doing a cruise some time like @t-tony cruise ln September I think we spoke about mate, il commit nearer to the time iff I can gate crash the list mate, but fingers crossed for your Simota fitting, and yes custom chrome Nuneaton are amazing for exhausts designed to what you need, rather than an off the shelf one fits all option, and not to dear mate.
Thanks
Jimmy.
@t-tony bit of persuasion required here please! Jimmy is a lovely bloke and it would be nice to have him on the cruise mate. Get it sorted there's a good poppa! =))

Went to get my zed booked in at Mr.Tyre for the new exhaust today..........until I got there.
Not been to Normanton in derby for a while and I'd forgot what it's like round there, didn't even feel safe getting out the car, let alone leave it there unattended :nailbiting:.
So I went to their Nottingham branch, only to be told their exhaust "specialist" is off until the start of August :meh:.,

But the run out gave me chance to see if I could feel or hear any difference with the Simota fitted.
Couldn't notice anything at first, but once the engine had warmed up enough to put my foot down, it did feel a bit livelier and then when I booted it coming off an island I could hear a lovely intake noise, which just made me want accelerate like a loony everywhere :ymdevil:.

I might have some time at the end of next week to maybe try the place the @Jimmy Weston suggested near Hinckley.

Normanton isn't the best mate. Used to be on my bin round 20 years ago and it was as rough as back then. Try Mansfield branch Steve.

Thanks Jimmy,it went on quite well once I'd got the new length of hose. Took a few attempts to get it right as I didn't want to cut the hose too short first time round.
Thought it was sat just right till I took it for a spin and then checked it. It had moved slightly so the big metal strap at the front was touching the top rad hose,so after a final adjustment it now sits perfect :).

Hope you had a good holiday mate ,did you go anywhere exotic ?.
