The Brooklands/Luffield to woodcote corner is a b***** to get right.
Just been chatting with the shed guys about correcting the understeer. Will be looking at Powerflex, and also be on the hunt for a Z4M anti roll bar for the front. The Z4M arb is a fair bit thicker, so stops it leaning as hard.

Well we are 21 posts in and I have just picked my IPad up having got home and a cheeeky Chinese takeaway.....
Epic day 300 miles all round or there abouts, but the middle bit was the most fun. Your cooked brakes mention @Mnbrennan - mine by any chance?☹ First time on track in anyone’s car expect a parade lap. Massive judder on the front brakes after about 15 mins. It a great experience. Car pulled like a train just a bit dodgy getting it stopped. Very smooth on the way home down the M1. Daddies came too to point the camera, will sort some pictures and dashcam stuff ASAP well done all had a great time.

The instructor certainly was building your confidence for sure, you really caught me out just before the Wellington straight near the end of the session. Previous time I over took you I strolled past, so I set myself up waiting for you to pull to the right and you stuck your darned foot down. Hard work getting past you before Brooklands down the straight :D

Putting some camber on the front too will help the understeer.

Lee suggested the M3 CSL geometry, which I guess adds some camber. Can see this becoming an expensive thing... Already thinking of getting some track wheels and stickier tyres :bag:

Well looks brilliant, especially for the money, since hardly any one on track. I can spend an whole day, and only get 5 or six clear laps in.

Yes it is expensive, but at that price great value for money, and you learn so much about your capability and the cars.

@GazHyde yes track tires are ideal, but I used my road tires Micheline PS4's and they are fine, and I am able to pull 1.2/3G around an corner

I done around 6 track days, + 12,000 miles and still legal

Looks like a fabulous day out. Hope someone got a bit of video of the track time.

I put Michelin PS4s on about two months ago @Twin Turbo and just on normal road use they are way better and grippier that the Vreds that were on before although I've not had @Lee wrangle the car round corners yet. Guy I work with keeps a set of track day tyres but I don't think he gets many days out from each set. Got to be worth it though.

Fooking hell that was bloody BRILLIANT!! :coolsteer)
Defo gave me more confidence in the Z3M (not so scared of it's power now)
Even managed to bag myself a free instructor :D :rally:
Was learning how to take lines when to brake and when to get the power down :D

Keep an eye out for the March taster track day
Hope to see some more of you next time
Bugger! I wanted to come! I'm at the next one
