I just wondered can the liners be taken off with the wheels still on the car.

Shouldn't think so, best with wheel off so you can get to all the fixings and then wrestle the liner out.

You may get the rear one out but not front due to securing bolts behind wheel and size of liner - it's a pig wrestling the liners out/back-in with wheels off - can't see why you would want to try with them on. A few photos which show what you have to get at.IMG_0950.JPGIMG_0954.JPG

Have these been wheel bays been steam cleaned or to you employ a truck load of minions to get underneath and give them a wash and polish every time it’s used??? :scorecard:

No minions -it's the price the co-pilot has to pay in order to drive it.;)

As @Alin S says not difficult, just take your time removing the trim off so as not to snap any clips, the biggest pain I found both times was getting the rear liners out. Also on the rear of the underside of the front liners there are two plastic nuts each side with metal inserts that fix onto very small studs, these easily snap off as I found out doing the first one (all four that I then had to drill out and fit self tappers to, probably better in the long run but a pain in the rectum), 2nd time around I sprayed a week before with WD40 and again every couple of days, these came off OK
@Nodzed can you tell me if you just drilled a hole and put a selftapper in, or fitted a plastic nut and screwed a self tapper into that. I had one snap on me and not sure the best way to repair.
Thanks

That stud is welded on, I had one snap when I did my sills, didn't do anything with it when I put the liner back in, its held by the remaining stud and nylon nut. I did see that someone else on here put a self tapper in with a washer as a replacement. I will probably do the same using a stainless self tapper.
