hi, one of my fav,s I took the samurai aged pic a couple of years ago with members of the Iaido club I belong too. We also did two 1 hour documentaries for the Yesterday Channel, Ninja and the 47 Ronin. It took about 5 days of filming in an abandoned fort in kent and Hertfordshire, quite trying we were 10 hours a day fighting and acting in full armour. The suit on the right is one of mine I also make Japanese armour and clothing.

This is me in Yoroi armour

Thank you Andy, my interest comes from a TV series called Shogun, starring the actor Richard Chamberlain ? I don't know how accurate this series was but I really did enjoy it. Any TV series with historical content gets my attention really, many HBO series have quite a lot of "truth" in them and that's what gets my interest.

Take a look at Musashi Miyamoto the greatest samurai/swordsman and Japanese icon, over 60 kills to his name. He wrote The book of five rings which is still used by Japanese CO's today and he is a legend.

I reckon we had a thread running on .net a good while back about people's old cars and if my memory serves me correctly you posted that one? I liked it because I also had a mark 1 escort 1300 GT with cibie spots on the front. Good memories!

Yup! Half way down my back

have had bigger guys threaten the same Tony and it's still there!! lol but send Hugh anyway! JIM
Ha,you may have a surprise if I turn up on your doorstep.you know its not the size that matters ( I keep telling Sarah that) there's always more than one way of skinning a cat ,or scalping a Canadian lol.

Come on down big fella and we'll see what happens!! My new daughter in law is Native and I'm sure her family would love a Welsh scalp and know how to do it cleanly and precisely on a live Welshman to boot! They may be a bit out of practice so you notice I didn't include painless! lol. JIM

@miller1098 I forgot to add that when you fight one Indian in a family you fight them all and Jade has a very large family and my son was only accepted as her babies Father when the family found out I, as a white man, am Godfather to one of their family members. Until then he was the object of reverse racism, but all's well now! lol. JIM
