Hi Folks

I have already had a chat to my sign guy as I wasn't completely "sold" on the Correx as our only choice so he's doing a price for the Foamex as well. :-bd

I'll get some samples and put some piccies up on the thread.

If anyone else has any other ideas/options feel free to post, I'll put the final figures etc. on when I get them and then the choice is yours :D

Hi folks

Well here is the update as promised sorry about the delay but I spoke to my 1st option and got messed around a bit so moved on to 2nd option (recommended by a colleague) and this is what we have come up with.

Option 1

Vinyl only – this would be a “once use” only product which you would have to apply yourself and temporarily stick over your existing number plates, therefore when removed would probably have to be discarded.

Cost- £3.50 per plate or £7 per set of 2

Option 2

Vinyl stuck onto 3mm Foamex – these could be either stuck over your existing number plates using double sided tape/sticky Velcro or if your front number plate is like mine you could affix that one with screws.

Cost- £6 per plate or £12 per set of 2

The prices above are based on supplying just 1 set of plates and would be the maximum price. When I started to talk about volume then the guy said he would do us the best price possible and he would reduce it as much as he could but that would depend on the numbers.

I would have to provide him with all the artwork, fully sized up in PDF format – that’s not a problem.

Timescale

He is currently quoting 3-4 weeks to deliver on work so if we want this we need to start thinking about our designs, I’m happy to help anyone who needs it and we can throw some designs and thoughts around. To be sure of getting these in time I think we need to be looking at beginning of June at the latest.

So there it is folks, let me know what you think, but if this is a goer then I need to start collating numbers. If you want to reply on the thread I will update the 1st post with names and numbers and indicate when I’ve got your artwork.

One important thing everyone has to remember though is that these are not road legal plates and should not be used other than on the track.
