Mine is not an original one.
This looks like an original 427 sc.....that is a lot of money in a driveway

Mine isn't that nice, not by far.
On the other hand, I've built mine myself...from the bottom up....not "a simple restoration", searching pieces myself, making some pieces myself as nothing existed, etc.
Although it is not yet finished (will it ever be), proud of what was achieved.

Haha he has a pilgrim sumo in blue which had a 2.0 pinto engine. We converted it to a 3.5 v8 with huge side pipes. Pic attached. It's for sale.

The other is a dax, a recent purchase in burgundy red with white stripes. Again v8 and side pipes. I've got no pictures

If they are out in public it's highly doubtful that they are actual Shelby's. Those are all tucked away safely and the one's you see are replicas even Down to a 427. But most don't have a side oiler 427 in them like the originals. You appear to have done a pretty good job of putting yours together @Stormy_be and I'd be proud to drive in it!! JIM

It really looks beautiful. I had to look up "pilgrim sumo" to see what it was. Really looks original. Frankie

I was severely tempted to buy a Sumo kit at the Newark Kit car show in the early 80's, but having two young kids and one almost here and a soppy great Labrador I had to keep my 2.8 Granada Ghia which was going to be the donor car.:)

Mine is a Anaconda (which only sold some 10 kits).
It is based on a tubular chassis. Raw fiberglass body came with the 'kit'. Rear axle is a BMW E36 (325i - with LSD). The front is a double wishbone. Steering is a E30 (as this is non-servo). Pedals are tilton-racing-pedals (non-servo-brake). Clocks are VDO. Engine is a V6 2.9 12v Cologne from a Ford Scorpio (Granada II in the UK) linked to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
All the rest is pieces from different suppliers or home made. (home made radiator, fuel cell, exhaust, inner bodywork, dash, all wiring, brake lines, fuel lines, lot's of brackets, etc.

Regards, Koen

Sounds like it's time to open your own car factory.

the money put in that car...nobody would want to give that amount for it now.
That's quite typical over here also @Stormy_be you're lucky if you recoop your parts budget and almost never your hours and hours of labour! I've had people say they can do it cheaper themselves but never do that's why there are so many partially done vehicles for sale at 10c on the $$$. It's a labour of love I'm afraid! JIM
