Yes I'd agree, that's not standard.

Got a quote of £300 for both seats, it's Lotus white. It is only really the bolster on the drivers which is scuffed otherwise really good, but thought only doing one may look slightly different. I thought about doing myself if I can get the correct colour.
Does anyone know how difficult it is, I assume it's sprayed.
I was reluctant to remove the seats as I was told by the guy who quoted that they should be but sometimes when refitted that it can often trigger thje airbag light

The airbag light will only be triggered if the ignition is switched on while the seat(s) are removed from the car. The rule I stick to is once the seat bolts are out, put the keys back in the house before I disconnect anything.

You can get the colour matched by liquid leather. Really easy to apply. I used a paint brush on the edges and sponged the rest on. As long as you don't turn your ignition on the airbag light won't come on.

I'm pricing up to do mine, but as it's blue and black i'm sure it will take longer for prep and masking.
I assume people use these products? https://www.liquidleather.co.uk/leather-dyes-c48/liquid-leather-m40
What have people done to prep the leather before applying and do you use a general sponge to get it on?
I've got the chameleon leather, so worried about using sandpaper or scotch pad as so many youtube videos show.

Mine is also Chamelion and I have the the same thoughts, I had a quote last year of 300 or can do it myself the problem is it's Lotus white, if it were a dark colour I would give it a go. The best application I am told if correct is to spray it on.

Did them in the Kitchen at home, best advice, use a lot of plastic to cover white goods etc and do it when the wife is out. Furniture clinic do a full kit, including spray attachment think it was about £80 recommend buying extra air cans for the sprayer.

I sponged my on and it's two tone, just used a fine artists brush around the edges. It's easy to do and I am frankly rubbish practically so it really can't be that difficult.
