Hi All.
I am going to change the seats on my Z.
the plan was to get a set of M / sports seats, as they look amazing. But my current standard seats are without question the most uncomfortable seats since the invention of seats. I guess nearly 17 years of butt sitting has made the foam hard, and i dont really want to chuck money having them re fitted & upholstered if i am not really keen on the look of them.
So i have opted for a pair of half leather Nissan 370Z seats. basic measurements show that they will fit as they are slightly narrower and about the same height.
But rather than drilling holes into the floor i am going to see if i can make up a bracket or metal strips to fit to the base of the new seats and fit that bracket / strip to the original holes in the floor pan.
Can anyone recommend the correct ( safe) thicknes of metal sheet i should use to make the brackets?

Many Thanks

Are you planning to keep the electrics and heat function of the seats? I will be interested in your progress as to be honest I feel like I'm sitting on my ///M as to sitting in it if you get my meaning it feels like the seats or floor pan should be lower.

Hi Unfortunately i dont have heated seats but i will be incorporating the original wiring for the electric seats
will let you know when its all wired up
