Are we ever going to see a pic of scarab 2 on here Barry? Your always much busier on the "dark side" but I'm sure the nice folks on here would love to see it.

here you go........

Thanks Barry. I don't go on the other side anymore, I find this a lot more user friendly and much busier. Every time I logged onto the other side you'd be there! It's good here you know and your wealth of knowledge would be most welcome.

Very kind of you to say such nice things... I try to be helpful where I can. I know how daunting some tasks can be and even more worrying when one has a problem with the car and little "mechanical / car sense". I have the advantage of the Bentley's manual, and since I work from home, I can spend some time on the net researching a subject.
Odd you should say that the "other side" is so different... I have noticed in recent times that it has become extremely quiet there... Not sure why exactly, but whenever I log on there, only one or two people at most are logged on. Most often I am the only one there. Must admit I get a tad annoyed by the repetitious posts there too. You know - "what tyres, wheels, oil should I use".... the question has been posted a hundred times, but people will not consult the history on those subjects - it's as if that's their 2 minutes of "fame" and they're determined to have it... Anyhow, I shouldn't be so picky I guess - it's all a very personal experience, and I suppose everyone wants to feel special too.

Well it happens here too Barry. Someone mentioned the other day about repetitive posts but that's human nature I guess! It's always busy on here that's why I moved across as it got very quiet and a little boring at times over there.Maybe you should stick around, I used to like reading your post's on "the dark side!"

Yes, I'm sorely tempted to mention the cricket yesterday, but the haemorrhage just won't stop ! Stuart Broad was amazing !

Don't worry Barry it won't last, never does. Even so we have to appreciate our little Country's time in the spotlight when it happens. The lads are doing us proud but in fairness the opposition isn't what it has been in the past either.

Tony.

ps. Any thoughts on doing any bits for the Z4 's ?

Yes, you're right about the cricket. Personally I reckon Australia are likely to take the lead back again very shortly..
Re the Z4's. I haven't really looked at them, and any specific requirements for those cars. I guess I should read through the posts and see where their weaknesses are... Perhaps you can help there?? :)

Well I saw an arm rest for the centre console for sale in the USA and the would be my first cabin upgrade I think, maybe some pads for the door cards too.. I'll see if I can find the link mate.

Tony.

Thanks buddy. I thought the Z4's were fitted with center armrests -well I figured they would have had them considering the car is considerably larger than the Z3 and more contemporary.... I'll do some googling and have a look too.

They do have a pad around the rear of the console but I don't find that it's quite high enough to support your arm, if you know what I mean. Found the link.

We are soooo pleased to have you here!!
Loving your talents keep up the good work :happy:

P.s Can't wait to receive mine for the Dakar so I can start ticking off jobs from my list

Thanks Stacey... Should be there in around 10 -12 days...
I had a look at that link Tony... Looks dead simple to me - I mean the "elbow rest"... They're not cheap are they ! $85 for an elbow pad... Anyhow, I'll have to ask a buddy here to let me have a look inside his Z4 so I can get some measurements, and see what's required... I'll let you know.

Cheers Barry, there are more and more Z4 owners these days.

Tony.

You're probably right Mike, but it would likely look as though I made it for £20 too.:(
