Hi guys I would now like to announce the dates for the 2021 Scottish run.
The run will be the usual 2 days
( sat , sun) and will be held on the 18th - 19th September 2021.
Details of where we are going etc will be announced going into next year as have a couple of things in mind and need to investigate further once current covid restrictions are eased a bit.

Update July 21.
Hi everyone and welcome to update July 21
Here is the final plans for the run ( sat nav links of route available soon )
As you all know due to covid restrictions decisions had to be made on what we were doing this year decided to use last year's hotel again as they were great with partial lock down still in place ( rule of 6 etc ) . We went up the first weekend this year that they were allowed to reopen this year.
Decided not to go to Mull as original order last year as I went to terminal in oban and at the the time couldn't book what I wanted and there wasn't enough guarantees we could all go wasn't worth the risk.
So then decided complete rerun of last year ( as it was a great route) did look at running it in reverse but doesn't fit the stops especially since got two groups.
I have adjusted the times of the route to allow us to overlap the coffee stops and get lunchtime together.
To that end can I ask all the drivers if you guys can fuel up the night before on both days to allow us to get straight off as we have had to book the stops so need to be certain places at certain times thanks.
For those who did not attend last year there is an Esso petrol station around 3 miles from hotel.
At the current time our covid restrictions will be lowered from level 0 on Aug 9th I will post the latest nearer the time obviously we will have to comply with whatever is in place but things will be much more relaxed than last year.
One thing I think will stay is mask in indoor spaces and public transport ( which may include the Corran ferry if roof down) this is still a legal requirement in Scotland and looking like remaining so for a bit.
The current cost for the Corran ferry ( day 1) is £9.00 per vehicle ( card payment preferred but will take cash).

Day 1 we will leave the hotel head over the Connel bridge 1 of 3 bridges before the first stop all with great views.
We will travel north about 3 miles past the Ballachulish bridge we will catch the Corran ferry ( 10 minutes crossing) to Ardgour then onto our first stop at Strontian.
From Strontian we head off to Morar around 40 miles away for lunchtime this section has a 20 mile section of single track road good passing places for others to let us past if weather is good the Loch Morar hotel nice views out to Eigg , Rum and onwards to the Isle of Skye .
From Morar it's off to Fort William for the afternoon coffee stop at the Benn Nevis hotel in Fort William this route into Fort William can provide some really nice views of the UK's highest peak.
After the afternoon stop its a run back to the hotel.

Day 2.

From then we turn away to glencoe village then through glencoe pass over Rannoch Moor heading to Tyndrum for lunchtime.
From Tyndrum we head off towards Dalmally then turn left to go down through Inveraray to our afternoon stop at Lochgilphead.
From Lochgilphead its a run back up to the hotel.
