.
I would just like to say a big thanks to all who made the journey this year weather Friday and Saturday was perfect Sunday was better than I thought it would be.
A great shame for the issues some ended up with @Sean d destroying a wheel @Jjim also with a different wheel/ damage tyre issue ( really sorry that you guys missed out day 2 because of this ) @bertiejaffa had an incident off a roundabout after he left us that has damaged the car but no injuries.
It was great to meet up with a number of new members three on their 1st zed cruise as well as getting together with some of the regular attendees .
For me 776 miles over 4 days less than 30 miles with the roof up total blue sky for two of them .
Skye looked amazing on Saturday and road over to Applecross had no cloud cover all in all a great weekend .

Some phone snaps from the first day from Kyle of Lochalsh over to Skye and back:

An early start with the sunrise over Cromarty on the east coast.
The car (aka 'Ratty' as in Wind in the Willows) wasn't wamed up yet, but we had the hood down, and for all fifteen hours.

We got home safe and sound to Cromarty at 9pm, without Ratty missing a beat

Thanks for a lovely first run, with a chance to meet lots of very nice people, and great Z3s, every one different.

Cheers

Paul and Sara

What an amazing 5 days, we did an a to b from home to dumbarton and bumped into the mints on the way, stopped in a premier then headed north and took a detour around the trossachs taking in dukes pass and lots of great roads, finishing up in Kyle of lockalsh, great cruise already had, next was skye, stunning scenery and all was going well until I hit the mother of all potholes and bust a rear style 42, great camaraderie from all the group got me going again albeit on a space saver from @Mint and tanks to Mike for carrying my wheel back to the hotel
Luckily a local garage had a 16 inch wheel with a tyre that fitted my car,
Next day, applecross was bloody amazing as was the rest of the day, temps where hitting 25 with clear blue skies, just had a run down the west coast and across the trossachs back to dumbarton with the mints, had 1056 miles of pure fun so far and the roof has only had to go up for 25 of them,

Stunning, just stunning!

:scorecard:

Massive thanks to @Stevo7682 and @Mrs Stevo for organising the ultimate Zed weekend, just superb guys. It's not lost on me the effort that goes into putting one of these weekends on, simply unsurpassed.

A stunning drive up with @Jjim and Alecia (excuse spelling), Saturday and Sunday were both perfection with great peeps, cars, routes and scenery. Many many miles, one side light out, could've been worse, much worse. A downer for @Sean d @Jjim and @bertiejaffa with their issues but everybody is safe and walked away.

Maxed out at 42mpg on day 1, much better on the way home as the BMW lane was open for business on the M74, 26mpg :D

Only 10 mins of roof up driving all weekend to

Rained over Glencoe and all the way past Loch Lomond, roof down though. Nearly drowned following many campervans doing 30mph but soldiered on to the blue skies being only slightly damp ;)

Pics to come

He deserves a medal Andy. 1 to 1 gearing on a wheel that size will take some turning.

As fit as a butcher's dog mate. Less modern front brakes it was all original with rear drum brakes. Nice old Army hat to

Oops. Sorry @Mint, forgot to say, if Carlsberg did group leaders .......... top top top hooning and weaving like a F1 car warming its tyres up whilst dodging pot holes :nailbiting:

Oh, next time I'll take mine out of low ratio  =))

Looks great, no z4's?
No Z4 but 2 Z4 stories
I saw and carded this z4 at The Green Welly Stop in Tyndrum
20190920_142843.jpg
We left to carry on north to meet @Redsheep at the commando monument at spean bridge
Screenshot_20190923-200442_Maps.jpg
so got there met Dave took the mandatory pictures
20190920_161433.jpg
20190920_161547.jpg
20190920_161608.jpg

so we were standing talking just about to leave who rolls in the carpark straight towards us but the z4 from Tyndrum so I had to crack the icebreaker of
' you didn't drive all this way just to give me the card back ' had a chat he was up for a few days from England.
