Oh yes interested in this but date dependent same as everybody else holidays and cruise's booked, but would love to spend time in the Highlands:scorecard: but not in the midge season:( so will await dates:drinks:
Bazza & Jan

Interested in this tour, depending on the date. Would suggest a weekend in June when there should be less tourists to get in the way.

Or early September when there's no midges or Tourists either=))

Nudge Nudge:whistle:

so at least we are on the same wave length =)) just a few miles apart:(

A Country apart dear boy, perhaps even a time zone!

@Brian H Have you any idea of a date yet as I am going to be setting a date for the South Downs Run soon with the BMW Guys..

Sorry guys, I'll get on to this, can we link all events to a calendar somehow? Like you @pgunter i was conscious of not booking the event when something else was being organised. Saying all that a bank holiday weekend would probably suit as this gives time to travel to and from. Has anyone bagged the may bank holiday weekend?

@Brian H i would love to attend this one!!!
Dam why did I do my own insurance on an annual 5000 policy
Mid term adjustment is needed I think :p

@Brian H Its getting busy earlier on in the year... We need a calendar page so that a list can be issued.. Areas.. South, East, West and North England. Scotland and then Wales. and another for Foreign runs.

@GazHyde no pressure, I know you have other stuff to do but did you say the forum could integrate a calendar?

Yeah I said that. I have the licence for the module just not had chance to install and test it. It won't be online till mid January as a guesstimate...

Wow @AGT1953 That is some route... I have driven some of the roads you have listed and al I can say is... interesting. Don't expect your mobile to work and take all the repellants you can get your hands on.. You will need them, from Mc Midges that get through clothes to Sand Flies. I stayed in a hotel and the web page said.. ' nearest mobile reception can be found on the crossroads about 2 miles from the village up on the high side of the junction. The only coverage for miles. My kind of place.

I put this together for a local club last month.
Several locals from the Glasgow Classic Car Club are doing this trip last weekend in May next year - I would be as well but am involved with an extreme 4x4 Event in Aberfeldy the following weekend!

Hi,
It sure is!
I followed the suggested route, just breaking it down into bite sized chunks, making a leisurely 5 day trip out of it!
Daily stopovers at locations offering decent hotel accommodation was the most important requirement!
Driven it all before - outstanding road trip!

Can be done much quicker if you wanted!

Andy.
