Whilst browsing through this months Practical Classics magazine I noticed an ad for Scenic Car Tours

Just wondered if anybody knew anything about them or even gone on one of their tours?
My wife is a teacher and quite often we do not get leave at the same time, so i was looking for something to do on my own.
Looks like an organised tour with other like-minded people with inferior cars ;)

I have been on several of their tours, first one was to the BMW factory with BMW car club and it was good so since then I have been to Lake Garda, Lake Como and the Italian riviera. I think they are good value, they organise the ferry with an otion for the tunnel and all hotels. They also provide a detailed road book with lots of suggested places to visit.

Has anybody taken their zed to Jersey? Looking at this trip for September

Sounds like there should be plenty to do (obviously Covid allowing)

I took my E28 528 over on the ferry about 20 odd years ago to Jersey. Driving over there was fine, lots to see on the island.
It was the bumpy ferry crossing that knocked the family back. I was OK as I don't suffer from seasickness, but family really suffered particularly on the outward crossing as it was very choppy. Maybe the ferries are bigger and better stabilized these days so you will get a smoother crossing.
Otherwise fly and hire a car.

No I think this crossing will be worse as it is the condor 'vomit comet' high speed ferry

Yes the Condor can be choppy only a few casualties on the return trip from Guernsey but was a surprised at its turn of speed compared to the Ben my Chree to the Isle of Man.
