Hi, I'm sorry if I am not permitted to do this but on another forum I belong to one of our members has been scammed by this advertiser. He uses the name Godman57 on loads of sites and encourages members to pay using paypal friends and family. He takes the money and disappears. His email is Godman57@protomail.com. Please be careful. Love a duff email account. Dead handy for signing into websites who won't let you go further unless provided...and you dont want any emails from them..

Yes, you shouldn't pay using friends and family unless they are, or they have something to lose (like a reputation).

I always ask for payment using friends and family, but I have "reputation" on here.

Totally agree Gary.

Dont get me wrong like you i will use friends and family and bank transfer for things like calendars and deposits for Scottish runs quite often from people i have never met sometimes never even spoken to before.
Not as many as you Gary but i now 10 years on the forum and have been doing these things for a bit so i would like to hope like you i have a reputation for being trustworthy in matters of money changing hands for events etc .
As do a few others on here.
But unfortunately the electronical world we live in is not always as it seems .

I refuse to use Paypal full stop. A horrible outfit.

With a bank transfer there is a proper paper trail to a bank you can actually contact by phone. Some are a bit reluctant, but I can offer to list it on eBay.
