Hi guys, introducing myself and my car.

My first BMW it had to be a Z3 fun fun fun and at the wrong end of summer, Dooh. Still it will be used all year round (at least thats the plan) was not sure what to look for so took a punt on a 2000 1.8/9i can't work out CC calculations. Anyway polished it to death, driven it loads and very happy with it, going to upgrade a few parts and just smile driving it.

Andy

Hi Andy, welcome from near Lincoln, you've sure got a good shine on that little beauty. You can enjoy these all year round no worries.:)

Hi thanks, looked at quite a few of these including some pretty trashed examples with sellers trying to get their weight in gold. So settled on this one, quite strange really saw it wanted it straight away. Full service history, new soft top last year, wheels refurbished with new tyres and two owners. It does have a few stone chips and the outer sills need either re-painting or I will probably re-new as they are starting to rust but thats it the rest is solid.

The BMW stereo will be replaced at some point but the immediate plans are new stainless exhaust and different leather seats in either black/red or black/white with door cards to match. Thinking about it the roof is Mohair Blue so probably Black/white seats and cards. Just had another service to make sure everything was good and had the mech go over the car with no issues. The engine and gearbox are smooth a lot smoother than me, grinning like an idiot on the M25 in the rain with the top down. I bloody love it.

Hi Andy, here's a link on sills under articles that may be of use if you've not already seen it?

^ Hi thanks, the sills are just starting to rust on the lips by the front wheels, so nothing drastic but needs to be addressed. Any idea where I can buy new sills from?

Pretty rare mate TBF, there is a chap on here that makes them but his name escapes me. @GazHyde may be able to point you in the right direction though.

^^ Hi yup not me, spent this week in Harrow trying to focus (scrape of the floor) all my spare intellect, researching for my dissertation and not looking at selfies with various parts of the Z in the background. Out of curiosity how many Z,s have you driven/sat in?

LOT'S and some with permission. One in particular where she removed the " For Sale " sign from a Z3 and stuck it in the window of a Z4 !!

^^ Would that afore mentioned Z4, be yours sir?

Trying to work out the quote and reply options, still seem to be at the mercy of the demons of stupidity, so apologies to all who welcomed me if it looks like I have ignored you.
