Hi she’s still in a coma I’m afraid,the are very hopeful she will come around but they’ve tried over the last 3 days and it hasn’t quite worked.They will try again tomorrow hope it works ok,she has a very bruised ankle and a broken eye socket which look horrible but will get better with time . The driver made the excuse that the sun was in his eyes...

Thanks for the update Hugh, I only said to Shirl earlier I wondered how she was doing. A very lame excuse from the driver, if you can't see where you're going you should slow down until you can.

The brain is a remarkable organ. It can take a little coaxing to return normal consciousness and can take a little while but often a full recovery is made. I hope scans have shown no injury. Fingers crossed.

Good news ,she has come out of the coma a couple of days ago she has an infection and very confused and tired but actually took 4 steps today.Have been warned it will take quite a while but this feels like good news.

That is great news Hugh. Will likely be hard and slow progress at first while the body repairs itself, but, a couple of weeks should see big improvements.
Sadly I expect the driver who did this is likely to get off Scott free. They will never see the pain and suffering they have caused, especially in these hard times. Nor will they pay anything towards the massive emotional and monetary cost. I hope though they are suitably chastened.
