Beautiful, I've now owned three BMWs in this colour. Some people learn by their mistakes and then there are idiots like me who just keep getting up off the canvas and saying,"Go one then ,try that again." Like I say, beautiful, when clean and without a blemish, but how is it that I just have to walk to the other side of the car and mysteriously yet another mark appears! Not only that, then it's the first thing I see every time I look at the car !
Black, love it and hate it.:mad:

I feel ya pain Ken. That was why we ended up with a full respray could no longer live with all the imperfections i knew were there
 
Only red comes up better than black in my IMHO when all colours are at their best. Agree on the imperfections though, all part of life's challenges. The Military have black shoes for a reason, all other colours just wouldn't cut the mustard :D
 
I have to say black is a much worse nightmare than white. My white 3GT just gets dirty over time and you take it on the chin.

But the Z3 3.0 is Sapphire Black and is proving a nightmare already. We cleaned it the previous night to take to the bodyshop for an estimate. Come the morning it was looking sorry for itself with a layer of dust combined with overnight rainfall. I've never seen anything like it. I only had a few minutes during lunch time, didn't have time to wash it again and canned the bodyshop trip it looked so cr*p.
 
I keep ours covered now and when i uncover it i give it a quick detail only way i have found to try and keep it some what presentable
 
Well I’ve owned 8 black cars over the years and have 2 black ones currently.
I have to agree they are a nightmare,
But bloody great when they are clean.
 
That full respray @billz, how long before all those little marks start leaping out at you. Dare you take it out!! I'm just going to get mine tidied up knowing that marks will just keep appearing whatever I do. A dollop of bird muck left marks on the bonnet last week.:mad:
 
I just got a black e89 after selling the black Alpina and saying I'd never have another black Zed :rolleyes:
 
Now owned 3 white cars, and always say I'd never own another one after each winter - the mud, dirt, tar marks. But I seem to be a mug for it also =))
