Guy on the stand with me had a custom paint job on his E46 M3, looked lovely.

Looked like something out of mad max.

Crazy polish bloke who put a supercharger on a 4.4 V8.

Some young lad pinned his right foot off the line and didn't let go, safe to say once it picked up momentum his car spun and slammed him into the side wall. Didn't look pretty when they push his car off.

That's great reaction TT! Most races are won or lost off the starting line. Looked to be a nice steady run!! JIM

I came over when you were looking at it mate and although it looked bad I checked the depth of the paint a bit later on and found you have plenty of clear on for a bit of wet flatting and polishing. It looked close to going through to primer but mayb'e doable with so much clear on. Just fresh at the moment so looks pretty bad.
Readings were between 160 and 180 with the clear being a good 60. Considering new paint is about 120 to 130...
When you wet flat you probably take about 10 microns away being as yours is a little deep but I would be optimistic about this coming out.
Would save painting 2 panels and no issues with colour match..

In my opinion anyway..
