"M" Roadster
My daughter in law has owned the car for quite a few years but due to the nature of her job as a consultant surgeon she has limited time to use and enjoy the car.It has covered 86000 miles and probably less than 1500 during her ownership.
Shwartz black metalic with red/black interior. All in excellent order and always garaged .
She is interested to have sound advise on recommended asking price and where best to advertise this rare model.
Hard top by seperate negotiation Private number will be removed prior to sale

A very rare thing indeed and AI says 👍

Personally I wouldn't challenge either of those responses.

Your problem is that a private sale comes with no guarantee, so the buyer is taking a big risk parting with £25k.

I'd be tempted to recommend they get a full RAC inspection that they can pay for, but to refund the cost from your sale price.

A full inspection will cost less than £500. There are lesser reports, but you get what you pay for. Make sure you agree beforehand what consitutes a bad report, as all the reports will have fault.

An alternative is to get one yourself and use it as an advertising tool, but the RAC guarantee only covers the buyer of the report, so any new owners would need to have their own report to get the guarantee.

@Johnwayne I would talk to Munich Legends if I was seeking to buy another MR/M coupe. They may likely have a waiting list for S54 cars.

Lovely looking M
I would guess any potential buyer would want the hard top but just in case the car sells minus the hard top remember to remove the fitting kit. Just saying

2009 , that’s some MOT tester failing the car on a rear number plate bulb!
Probably a main dealer. They look for anything that's a cheap fix, but they can charge for.

They failed my 330 one year because the bulb wasn't orange enough. They went mental when I told them it wasn't a problem, as the full BMW warranty included a guaranteed pass on all bulbs. =))

£25 to £30k...?

Crikey I think a bit of research into recent prices may alter that.

Coupe's are going for that sort of money.

However I wish you the very best with the sale as it's a Very Nice car

Thanks everyone for your honest replies and opinions.
I totally agree that the valuation shown above is unrealistic in todays market,I would have thought around £21,000
would be nearer the mark.Having said that and following an interesting conversation with Dan at Munich Legends (thanks for the advice (Ianmc) he says following thier appraisal/valeting and possible service they would expect the car to achieve between £25,000 and £29,000.They would naturally take out their commission and costs-room for thought!

Does the above figures include hardtop and private registration plate?

Have you thought about Matthewsons?

A fair few fees involved under the advertised radar. Transport to...and from if not a Sale, commission rates won't be cheap

The Registration belongs to my son and would not form part of the sale and is valued at £13750 by Reg Transfers not that he would ever sell,

Would it be possible to upload more photos of the car’s interior - seats - exterior?

Here Goes !

Looks great and appears to have the OEM boot rack connectors on and under the boot lid - do you also have the rack and associated suitcase?

She does have the OEM luggage rack but not the luggage
Good news and certainly something, like the hardtop and original stereo that is likely to appeal to an enthusiast prospective buyer. All those OEM accessories are becoming harder to source and are subsequently increasing in value👍
