S380A Hardtop-preparation

Just entered the VIN into the website that tells you what extras your car had and one of the items is S380A
Hardtop-preparation. Does this mean it has the fitting kit already in place? I'm sorry I have only just bought the car and have no idea what I am looking for!

These are the only images I have at the mo, car is parked at my mums about 6 miles away, will be there on Sunday if these pics aren't good enough

No, it's behind the seats on the sides of the car where the HT brackets are. Don't get your hopes up, my Z3 said it had HT Prep too but it didn't and even if yours did have it's more than likely been removed and sold. Fingers crossed for you it does though.

They all say that for some reason, doesn't mean it will have the brackets I'm afraid

Hi Tracey option 380 means that the roof has the threaded mounting points to fit the hardtop fitting kit to.

Have a look if looks like pictures above then they are there but i would not be getting hopes up.
I would go take a picture of what looks like without the brackets ( one on our zeds has option 380) but it's absolutely chucking it down outside here all day

Hard top prep means it has the wiring, but not the brackets.
